Louise's Needlework...A Warm, Friendly Place Where Needlepoint Stitchers Pass on Age-Old Traditions
PRESS RELEASE
Powell, OH (PRWeb)-- October 26, 2009 -- Louise's Needlework, a staple to Central Ohio needlepointers, has been attracting needlepoint stitchers from all walks of life for nearly twenty years. These avid needle arts enthusiasts spend their leisure time enjoying the relaxation, creative expression and self satisfaction of working with fibers and threads, canvas and embellishments. Many of them gather at Louise's Needlework in Powell, Ohio to enjoy the rhythm of the art and to create their heirlooms.
"At Louise's, customers know they can share their personal stories, ideas, energy and knowledge, and pass on age-old traditions," says Jill Elia, the new owner of Louise's Needlework. "Add to this communal feeling the inspiration of the finest colors, textures and patterns available, and suddenly our customers find themselves empowered to create valuable treasures for themselves, their families or their friends, items that are not only functional and attractive, but that become part of their own personal legacy."
According to The National NeedleArts Association, the average age of today's needlepointer ranges from 47 to 57 and they do an average of ten needlepoint projects a year. Elia, who worked at Louise's for eight years prior to purchasing the shop, adds "More and more people of all ages are taking up this stimulating and rewarding activity, so no matter who you are, how old you are, or where you come from, it's never too late or too early to learn how to needlepoint."
Louise's offers needlepoint classes for every level, from beginner to advanced. And, the shop has a reputation for having the most experienced and cordial staff in the area. The staff includes veteran stitchers like Betty Clyde, who also teaches classes on Monday afternoons and Tuesday evenings, Lisa Cook, the shop's in-house artist, and Melba McGuire and Linda Marion who know all the secrets to creating beautiful and useful items easily.
